The Forest has three human denizens – Zenith, Veenita, and Soumik. Read more about the Forest here.
Soumik
Soumik is a Computer Science professional who is probably currently researching into his newest obsession he just picked up last week. When he’s not consumed by his latest obsession, he can be found reading a Banana Yoshimoto book at the library. His interests are varied, and probably too many to list here, but we can try – reading, writing, astronomy, fountain pens, anime and the Japanese language, fasting and low-carb diets, coffee and matcha, to name a few. You can expect book reviews, pen reviews, rants about rancid coffee beans, or whatever his latest obsession happens to be.
He thinks The Tatami Galaxy and Sangatsu-no-Lion are the best anime and welcomes people to fight with him about it. Please do not try. He is enough stressed as it is.
Zenith
A literature professor by day and a jack of all trades by night, Zenith (a.k.a Zen) catches hobbies like Pokemon – she just gotta catch em all! Her spirit Pokemon is Jigglypuff so go figure! Some of her interests include – music, languages, translations, astrology, tarot, crafting, spirituality, makeup, fashion and more.
So expect reviews, translations, beginner’s guide, occasional poems and rants… basically anything she feels like blabbering about. A serial journaling junkie, at one point Zen used to simultaneously maintain 4 journals. Recovering from it is a work in progress 👀
Zen is a newbie in the anime world. Kimi no Na wa (Your Name) and The Apothecary Diaries have her heart. Her all time comfort show is Modern Family. And she’s forever correcting your grammar – she can’t help it. You should do better!
Veenita
Veenita is a full time communication professional who happens to have too many hobbies and interests.
She is an habitant of thousands of fandoms. An avid anime manga fan, she lives most time inside her head having conversations with herself and imaginary characters who become parts in her stories. Veenita loves to read and write fanfictions. She loves witchy things, dark academia, dreams about owning a library and is fond of mint tea and dark chocolates!
Wednesday Addams spies on her to improve her swag. She’s a Fun-guy and has a love for creepy creatures and plants crawling out of graves. She loves everything horror. Her other interests include bullying people into loving her. Fearsome reputation, but soft inside.
Expect reviews of books, manga, anime, web series, films and some ramblings of her restless mind.
